If you collect omnibuses, compendiums, or deluxe editions, you know the drill: prices vary wildly between stores, books go out of print without warning, and keeping track of what you own (and what you're watching) means juggling spreadsheets, bookmarks, and browser tabs.
MyComicsDeals was built to fix all of that. This guide walks through every feature available in your Collection page and our Edition detail pages — so you can get the most out of the site.
Thousands of Editions — Including Out-of-Print
Our catalog now covers over 5,000 comic editions, including hard-to-find out-of-print omnibuses and compendiums that most price trackers completely miss.
Most comic price tools only know about books that are currently for sale. If an omnibus went out of print three years ago, it simply doesn't exist in their system — which means you can't track it, add it to your collection, or set alerts for when it resurfaces.
We fixed that. Our catalog pulls from Open Library, Google Books, and every vendor we scrape to build the most complete database of comic omnibuses, compendiums, absolutes, and library editions available anywhere. That means titles like:
...are all searchable and addable to your collection, complete with ISBNs, page counts, cover art, and publisher info. The catalog expands automatically every week as new editions are published.
See it in action: MCD_BOSS's collection has 90+ omnibuses and compendiums tracked — from Absolute Sandman to Spawn Compendium to X-Men omnibuses — all with market values and cover art.
Quick-Add Search
Start typing a title in the search bar at the top of your collection page and results appear instantly from our database of thousands of editions. Click the + Owned or ♡ Wishlist button and the book lands in your collection immediately — no page reload, no forms to fill out.
Can't find it? If an edition isn't in our database yet, we automatically query the Google Books catalog as a fallback. You'll see a blue banner saying "Results from Google Books catalog" — select any result and we'll create the edition on the fly so it's ready for price tracking. Between our Open Library catalog, vendor scrapers, and the Google Books fallback, virtually every comic omnibus and compendium in existence is findable.
AI-Powered Bulk Import
Got a big collection? Don't add books one by one. Click Bulk Import and paste a plain-text list — titles from a spreadsheet, an Amazon order history, or even a photo of your shelf that you've OCR'd. Our AI matches each line to the correct edition in our database.
You'll see a confirmation screen with every match before anything is added. Ambiguous matches get flagged so you can pick the right edition. It's the fastest way to go from zero to a fully tracked collection.
Filter & Organize
Your collection page opens to a unified grid of everything you've added. Use the pill-style filter bar at the top to switch views:
When you add a new book, it gets a green ring and a "Just added" badge that auto-clears after a few seconds — so you always know what just landed.
Portfolio Dashboard
A compact stats bar at the top of your collection shows the numbers that matter at a glance:
Expand the Portfolio Details section to see top gainers, best wishlist deals, and price alert summaries. It's a full investment dashboard for your bookshelf.
Price Alerts
Set a target price on any wishlist item and we'll email you when it drops below your threshold. No account password needed — alerts are tied to your email sign-in.
Alerts check against true checkout totals (not just sticker price), so you won't get a notification for a "deal" that disappears once shipping is added.

Edition Pages: Your Price Command Center
Every edition on MyComicsDeals has a dedicated page that aggregates pricing data across all vendors. Here's what you'll find.
TRUE CHECKOUT TOTAL
This is the feature that started it all. Most price comparison sites show you the sticker price — but that's not what you actually pay. We calculate the true total: price + shipping + estimated tax for every vendor, so you can compare apples to apples.
In this example, IST wins by $15 over Amazon — but you'd never know from sticker price alone ($44.99 vs $62.99 looks like a bigger gap than reality). True totals tell the real story.
Multi-Vendor Comparison
Each edition page shows a comparison table with every active offer we've found — from IST, CGN, Amazon, and eBay. You see:
- Vendor name with direct link to the product page
- Condition (new, like new, used) — especially useful for eBay listings
- Stock status — green for in-stock, yellow for low stock, red for out of stock
- True checkout total with price breakdown on hover
- Deal score (0-100) factoring in discount, price-per-page, condition, and availability
The best deal is highlighted automatically, so you can buy with confidence in seconds.
Price History Charts
Every edition page includes an interactive price history chart showing how each vendor's price has changed over time. This is invaluable for:
eBay Secondary Market
When a book is out of print at retail, eBay is often the only option. We pull live eBay listings via the official Browse API and include them right alongside retail offers — same true-total format, same deal scoring.
This is especially useful for popular out-of-print omnibuses where eBay prices can range from reasonable to absurd. Our deal scores help you tell the difference.
Out-of-Print Risk Badge
Editions that are no longer available at retail get an out-of-print risk badge on their page. This visual cue helps you prioritize — if a book you want is showing low stock or OOP warnings, it might be time to buy before prices spike on the secondary market.
