We track every omnibus across Amazon, InStockTrades, CheapGraphicNovels, eBay, and AbeBooks — daily. When a book drops from 3 vendors to 2, then 1, that's the warning sign most collectors miss.
These 9 omnibuses are each down to a single vendor. The major retailers (IST, CGN, Amazon) have already sold through their stock. Once the last seller is gone, these go to the secondary market — and Marvel omnibuses that go OOP routinely hit $150-300+.
Every price below is verified as of today and includes shipping. We're not guessing — this is what the data says.
1. Amazing Spider-Man by JMS Omnibus Vol. 2 — $44 on eBay
J. Michael Straczynski's Spider-Man run is one of the most celebrated modern takes on the character — and Vol. 2 includes the controversial but unforgettable 'One More Day.' Both Amazon and CheapGraphicNovels have sold through. This 2024 new printing is only available from one eBay seller.
2. Miles Morales: Spider-Man Omnibus — $44 on eBay
1,160 pages of Saladin Ahmed's critically acclaimed Miles Morales run. Both InStockTrades and CheapGraphicNovels have sold out — the two biggest discount omnibus retailers. One eBay seller remains. Given Miles' popularity (and a certain animated movie franchise), this is a reprint candidate — but reprints typically reset at full MSRP.
3. Thor by Straczynski & Gillen Omnibus — $44 on eBay
The run that brought Thor back from the dead — literally. Straczynski rebuilt Asgard in Oklahoma and gave Thor a gravitas the character hadn't had in years. Gillen's continuation through Siege is the perfect capper. CheapGraphicNovels sold through their stock. One seller on eBay has copies left.
4. Incredible Hulk by Peter David Omnibus Vol. 2 — $44 on eBay
Peter David's Hulk is the definitive run on the character — the one that turned a one-note 'Hulk smash' concept into genuine literature. Vol. 2 covers the Professor Hulk era and the Pantheon saga. Both InStockTrades and CheapGraphicNovels have sold out. If you have Vol. 1, you need this before it's gone.
5. X-23 Omnibus Vol. 1 — $44 on eBay
928 pages covering Laura Kinney's complete origin and early adventures — from her debut through her time as Wolverine's successor. InStockTrades and CheapGraphicNovels are both out. X-adjacent omnibuses that go OOP tend to stay OOP for years.
6. Adam Warlock Omnibus — $44 on eBay
904 pages of Jim Starlin's cosmic masterwork — the complete Adam Warlock saga from his Marvel Premiere origins through the Magus and Thanos confrontations. This is the foundation that Infinity Gauntlet was built on. CheapGraphicNovels sold out. If you're picking up the Infinity Gauntlet Omnibus at #1 above, this is the essential prequel.
7. Doctor Strange: Sorcerer Supreme Omnibus Vol. 1 — $44 on eBay
The definitive Doctor Strange collection from the late '80s and early '90s — when Strange was at his most powerful and the magical corner of Marvel was at its weirdest. CheapGraphicNovels has sold through. This is a deep cut that serious Marvel collectors will kick themselves for missing.
8. Superman/Batman Omnibus Vol. 1 — $75 at InStockTrades
Jeph Loeb and Ed McGuinness's iconic Superman/Batman series — the one that introduced Supergirl to the modern DC Universe. Amazon has sold out. IST is the last major retailer with copies. DC omnibuses go out of print quietly and rarely get reprinted — this is your window.
9. Avengers Omnibus Vol. 5 — $65 at InStockTrades
The Silver Age Avengers continue with Steve Englehart's legendary run — the Celestial Madonna saga, the Serpent Crown, and some of the most inventive Avengers stories ever told. Amazon and CheapGraphicNovels have both sold out. If you're building the classic Avengers omnibus set (Vols. 1-6), this is the gap filler you can't skip.
We track stock status across 5 vendors for every omnibus, compendium, and absolute edition in our database — over 7,000 editions total. Our criteria for this list:
- The edition was previously available from 2+ vendors (proving real distribution)
- At least one major retailer (InStockTrades, CheapGraphicNovels, or Amazon) has sold through
- Only 1 vendor remains with in-stock copies
- The current price is still below MSRP (still a deal, not already at secondary market pricing)
The pattern is consistent: once the last vendor sells through, secondary market prices jump 2-3x within weeks. These books aren't out of print yet — but the supply chain is telling us they're about to be.
Prices are verified as of April 10, 2026 and include shipping where applicable. Stock status can change at any time — if something on this list shows as out of stock when you click through, it already happened.
As affiliates of our partner retailers, we may earn from qualifying purchases through our links. All prices shown are verified at time of publication.
