Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about finding the best comic deals.
How does MyComicsDeals work?
We aggregate prices from multiple retailers including InStockTrades, CheapGraphicNovels, eBay, and more. Our system calculates the true checkout total (base price + shipping + tax) so you can compare actual costs, not just sticker prices.
How often are prices updated?
Our catalog is refreshed nightly between 2-4am UTC. eBay listings are updated in real-time when you search. Each price display shows when it was last checked.
What is a Deal Score?
Deal Score is our proprietary rating that factors in discount percentage, price-per-page value, seller reputation (for eBay), and stock availability. Higher scores indicate better overall value.
Do you show Amazon prices?
We link to Amazon but don't display their prices inline. Amazon's terms require you to click through to see current pricing. We include Amazon links so you can easily check if they have a better deal.
How do you make money?
We earn affiliate commissions when you purchase through our links. This doesn't affect the price you pay—it's how retailers thank us for sending customers their way. See our Disclosure page for full details.
What types of comics do you track?
We focus on collected editions: omnibus volumes, compendiums, deluxe hardcovers, and trade paperbacks from major publishers like Marvel, DC, and Image. We also include out-of-print and used listings from eBay.
Why might a price be different when I click through?
Prices can change between our last check and when you visit the retailer. We show timestamps so you know how fresh the data is. If you notice a significant discrepancy, the price likely changed after our last update.
Can I request a title to be added?
We're always expanding our catalog. Our weekly discovery job automatically finds new releases from our tracked retailers. If there's a specific title you'd like to see, let us know!
